CNC Machinist

Job Description Job Description Position Summary Operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts. Maintain safe, organized and clean work environment. Responsible for set up, inspection, first part buy, and other duties as assigned using a variety of 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis, multi-spindle and single-spindle CNC machines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Operate equipment such as CNC machines, milling machines, and end mills to produce manufactured parts primarily out of inconel and titanium. * Maintains specifications by observing drilling and cutting; taking measurements with calipers or micrometers; detecting malfunctions; adjusting controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes. * Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: * High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. * Apprenticeship graduate or technical degree helpful. * Aerospace experience preferred. * Minimum 1 years of progressively responsible milling experience, aerospace industry is a plus * Experience/knowledge applicable to fixturing/tooling applications * Experience with hard metals such as Inconel and titanium is a plus * Working familiarity with shop planning/tooling Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Computer Skills * To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess basic computer proficiency and functional knowledge with applications and activities. * Strong attention to detail. * Basic math and reading comprehension. Language Skills * Ability to read and write the English language. * Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. * Ability to write appropriate correspondences. * Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one and small group situation to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
