About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Lubbock, Texas, 79410!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing required. License: Valid Compact nursing license required. Certifications: BLS certification required. Must-Have: Experience in orthopedic trauma care, including post-operative management and wound care. Ability to administer blood products and manage peripheral lines. Experience using charting systems. Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias. Experience floating to different units when necessary. Description: This position will float between various units. Weekends may be required according to scheduling needs. The expected nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5-6. Previous charge experience is preferred. The role involves caring for adult patients in a 30-bed orthopedic trauma unit. Common diagnoses include fractures, amputations, joint replacement surgery, and surgical post-operative care. Nursing staff will perform blood administration and phlebotomy as part of their responsibilities. Staff will be involved in patient education, care management, and wound vac management. The unit provides interdisciplinary support, including physical therapy and respiratory services. Additional skills required include isolation precautions and non-invasive airway management. Travel experience is required for this role.
