Receiving and Inventory ClerkPay: $23+Shift: Night Shift (10pm- 6am)Location: West SacramentoJoin our team as a Receiving and Inventory Clerk, where you will play a vital role in managing incoming materials and ensuring accurate inventory records. You will be responsible for verifying shipments, inspecting goods, and maintaining inventory data in our warehouse management systems.ResponsibilitiesReceive incoming materials and verify shipments against delivery documentation, including material number, description, and quantity.Inspect incoming goods for visible damage and document discrepancies as required.Accurately enter and maintain inventory data in warehouse management and processing systems.Organize the receipt, storage, movement, and removal of goods within designated storage areas.Conduct routine inventory maintenance and participate in cycle counts and physical inventory activities.Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and hand-guided industrial trucks.Transport materials within the facility and, when required, between locations using approved methods and equipment.Ensure proper storage and handling practices are followed at all times.Pick and assemble customer or internal orders from designated storage locations.Verify order accuracy, including quantities and item numbers, against shipping and delivery documentation.Prepare and package shipments according to shipping instructions, approved packaging methods, transportation requirements, and Dangerous Goods regulations (when applicable).Prepare and attach all required shipping and transportation documents to outbound shipments.Perform work by following established procedures, work instructions, and standard operating practices.Make routine decisions within defined guidelines to address changing work situations.Apply appropriate processes and procedures to resolve common operational issues.Effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities across assigned warehouse processes.Essential SkillsBasic understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling procedures.Working knowledge of inventory systems and warehouse software applications.Ability to follow established processes, work instructions, and safety guidelines.Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and inventory transactions.Ability to handle routine inquiries and collaborate with internal and external customers.Additional Skills & QualificationsCompletion of a two-year vocational or technical training program.Up to one (1) year of related warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or materials management experience.Experience operating standard warehouse equipment and material handling devices preferred.Why Work Here?Our company offers a supportive work environment with a focus on safety, accuracy, and customer service. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
