The Account Manager is a client-facing role responsible for managing and strengthening relationships with assigned agencies, brokers, and employer/purchaser groups. This position supports the Sales Relationship Manager (SRM) and Account Executives (AE) by delivering consultative service that ensures client satisfaction while driving retention and growth. The role requires a strong understanding of Medica’s products, operational processes, and regulatory requirements, along with the ability to resolve complex service issues and lead cross-functional teams to achieve exceptional client outcomes. Performs other duties as assigned. Key Accountabilities Serve as the primary point of contact for a defined book of business, managing escalated service issues and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction. Partner with SRMs and AEs to support renewals and new business initiatives, including financial analysis and reporting. Educate and consult clients on Medica’s programs, products, and administrative processes. Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and internal partners. Lead and prioritize the work of internal teams to ensure timely, accurate, and effective service delivery. Ensure compliance with contract terms and regulatory requirements while aligning solutions to client needs. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience beyond degree completion Preferred Qualifications Experience within the healthcare or insurance industry Knowledge of health insurance products Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and resolve complex issues Skills and Abilities Exceptional relationship management and sound decision-making skills Strong interpersonal abilities, including active listening, mentoring, and motivating others Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to manage conflict and resolve complex issues Ability to inspire confidence and drive measurable financial results Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on team development and performance Strong operational knowledge with the ability to execute effectively across internal processes Experience with COSMOS Business preferred This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite at our Minnetonka, MN office, on average, 3 days per week. The full salary grade for this position is $55,600 – $95,300. While the full salary grade is provided, the typical hiring salary range for this role is expected to be between $55,600 - $79,400. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.  In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for incentive plan compensation in addition to base salary.
