MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED
Any work related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels in the above Minimum Qualifications is an acceptable substitute for the above specified education and experience requirements. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bilingual preferred, along with some college hours and/or library experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light to medium weight (10-50 pounds). May also involve the pushing and/or pulling of objects or materials up to one-hundred (100) pounds between. Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station. Some tasks require visual/sound perception/discrimination and oral communications ability.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.

- Designs, creates, facilitates, and implements engaging public classes, programming, and outreach activities, coordinating library activities with other City departments.
- Updates web calendar, wiki, and kiosk displays.
- Troubleshoots print management system and assists with administration of digital resources.
- Processes interlibrary loans, copy cataloging, accounting, and functions of an integrated library system.
- Places and receives supply and materials orders.
- Assists in training new employees and/or volunteers.
- Stays informed of professional developments and trends.
- Performs daily cash handling and cash register functions.
- Processes new and donated materials, and repairs damaged materials.
- Prepares department-specific statistical reports and/or budget spreadsheets.

Required Qualifications
