Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes while adhering to hospital standards and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
• Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and condition before, during, and after surgery.
• Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other surgical team members during procedures.
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control protocols.
• Document patient care, surgical procedures, and relevant clinical information accurately.
• Respond swiftly to any intraoperative emergencies or complications.

Qualifications:

• Valid state Registered Nurse license with applicable certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience.
• Demonstrate vascular experience and proficiency in surgical patient care.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including early mornings and evenings.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
