Financial Assistant

Financial Assistant Bader Philanthropies is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Financial Assistant to join our Finance team. This entry-level position is ideal for a recent college graduate or early-career professional interested in nonprofit finance, accounting, and administration. The Financial Assistant supports the Financial Administrator in maintaining accurate financial records, processing payments, assisting with bookkeeping functions, and supporting the organization’s overall financial operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit financial management within a collaborative and mission-driven environment. This position reports to the VP-Administration. Financial Systems & Accounting Perform data entry and maintain financial information within accounting software systems Record imported transactions into QuickBooks Collect, review, and process invoices through established workflows Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation Payment Processing & Banking Support Process electronic payments and wire transfers in accordance with internal control procedures Assist with bookkeeping and banking activities Support credit card monitoring and account reconciliation activities Help monitor administrative accounts and banking transactions Audit & Financial Administration Support Assist with preparation and coordination of the annual audit process Prepare audit confirmation letters and supporting documentation Support communication with banking partners regarding accounts and documentation Assist with depreciation schedules and financial reports for auditors Organizational Engagement Participate in Foundation events and selected site visits throughout the year Attend regular team and supervisor check-ins Contribute to a collaborative, mission-focused workplace culture Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Ability to learn accounting software systems such as QuickBooks Strong communication and interpersonal skills Interest in nonprofit or philanthropic work preferred What We Offer Opportunity to grow within a respected philanthropic organization Collaborative and supportive team environment Meaningful work that supports community impact Competitive salary and benefits package Salary Range: Commensurate with experience.
