Garnet Educational Services is searching for an in-home (6 hours per day) Instructional Assistant/Para Professional to work with a student attending online classes from their home in Rochester Mills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sit with and assistant student during virtual classes (at home), during school day (6 hours per day)
- Redirect and encourage focus/keep student attentive during live classes
- Facilitate class attendance and participation while in class
- Assist with organizational skills and planning for the school week
- Work with behavioral support team to implement behavioral strategies
- Keep daily log detailing student progress
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' post-secondary education OR earned an associate's degree or higher
- Preferred experience working in a school district, with school aged students or with individuals with special needs
- Must pass all background checks/clearances for criminal history and child abuse and other school requirements.
