Physician Assistant (PA) / Nurse Practitioner (NP) - General Orthopaedics Location: Pontiac, Illinois Job Type: Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing General Orthopaedics team. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide care in both an outpatient clinic and hospital/operating room setting while working alongside experienced orthopaedic specialists. Schedule Full-Time Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Surgery Cases: Typically 7:00 AM-4:00 PM Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with orthopaedic conditions. Perform comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations. Order and interpret laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic imaging. Perform orthopaedic procedures. Assist physicians during surgical procedures in the operating room. Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient education. Prescribe medications and orthopaedic devices in accordance with state regulations. Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records. Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care. Qualifications Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program. Active Illinois PA or NP license (or eligibility to obtain). Current BLS Certification. Current DEA and Controlled Substance Registration (or ability to obtain). Excellent communication, clinical, and interpersonal skills. Interest in General Orthopaedics.
