Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted License: WI or Compact license preferred; pending license accepted Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: Experience with Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations for adults, IABP Placement/Removal, Impella insertion, Interventional Catheterizations, Left/Right heart catheterization, Pacemaker/Defibrillator lead extraction/removal, PCI, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Rotablator atherectomy. Description: This position requires a registered nurse for the Cath Lab. The shift is 4 ten-hour days. Call is required 1 to 2 days per week and every third weekend. There will be rotation into departments such as PACU. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of experience. First-time travelers are accepted. Experience with preferred procedures includes ASD closures, scrub procedures, TEE, valvuloplasty, ventricular assist device insertion, Watchman procedure, EP procedures, and various GI and genitourinary procedures. Epic charting experience is preferred but not required. Every third weekend is required. Successful candidates must have active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. The unit will have interdisciplinary support, including IV teams and pharmacy services. The daily census is approximately 10 patients. Healthcare professionals working in this capacity need to be familiar with various cardiac and interventional procedures. This role involves critical thinking and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Nurses will be integral to patient care and coordination in the Cath Lab.
