Speech Language PathologistSeward, AK | Outpatient, Acute Care, Long Term CareContract | 13-Week Assignment | Days, 5×8 Hours (8:00–17:00) | No Weekends | No Call Requirements | Block schedule may be accommodatedProvide speech-language pathology services across multiple care settings, including inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, and swing bedTreat patients presenting with conditions such as aphasia, apraxia, dementia/Alzheimer's disease, progressive neurological disease, and IDDSI-related needsApply dementia management strategies and support patients with complex communication and swallowing disordersFloat within scope of practice to cover outpatient, acute care, and long-term care settings as facility needs requireDocument patient care using Epic electronic health recordsDemonstrate clinical independence and the ability to transition effectively between care settingsActive Alaska state SLP license required (compact license must be in hand at time of submission)NBCOT certification requiredBLS certification requiredMinimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Speech Language PathologistCandidates whose permanent address is within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to startExperience treating patients with Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, anoxia, coma stimulation, or developmental delayExperience working with pediatric populations, including infants, children, and adolescents, as well as patients with autism or cleft palateClinical proficiency across all four care settings: inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, and swing bedFamiliarity with Epic charting systemFacility-provided housing is available for the duration of the assignment, offering a convenient and cost-effective living arrangement for traveling cliniciansExpected 72 hours per two-week pay period, with the possibility of one 8-hour shift call-off per two-week period
