Full Charge Bookkeeper

Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy taking on new challenges? China Live / Asia Live Restaurant Group is hiring an experienced full-charge bookkeeper to work closely with operations. This role involves various accounting functions such as accounts payable reconciliation, budgeting, financial reporting, and more. The ideal candidate should have 5 years of accounting experience in hospitality industry, a degree in Accounting or a related field, and be proficient in Excel and pivot tables. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate books using QuickBooks Online Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable Reconcile bank, credit-card, merchant-processing and delivery-platform accounts Review daily sales, deposits, discounts, refunds and voids Record payroll, tips and service-charge distributions Maintain vendor files and resolve invoice discrepancies Prepare monthly profit-and-loss statements and balance sheets Assist with cash-flow reporting and weekly financial summaries Coordinate sales-tax, payroll-tax and year-end information with outside CPAs Maintain organized supporting documentation for audits and tax preparation Support accounting for multiple restaurant entities and locations Accounts payable reconciliation and administration Bank reconciliation Cash management and forecasting Financial reporting and cost analysis Assist with H.R. and employee benefits administration Payroll Prepare weekly operations reports Ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned Key Requirements: Fluent in English and either Mandarin or Cantonese Minimum 5 year of accounting experience in restaurant/hospitality/retail Restaurant, hospitality or high-volume retail experience strongly preferred Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel Strong knowledge of reconciliations, accounts payable, general ledger and month-end closing Experience with restaurant POS and payroll systems preferred Extremely accurate, organized and able to meet deadlines BA or AA in Accounting or related degree preferred Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Proficient in Excel and pivot tables Passion for accounting and hospitality Flexible work schedule and ability to travel Must be able to drive and travel to Santa Clara location Able to work primarily on-site in San Francisco Chinatown Authorized to work in the United States Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance 401k Employee dining and retail discounts China Live / Asia Live Restaurant Group offers a competitive wage and benefits package, along with the opportunity to grow and make an impact in the food & beverage industry.
