Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

RN – Critical Care

Schedule: 12hr Nights; 1900-0730; 3 shifts per week

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:

• KS RN or Compact RN License
• BLS, ACLS, & NIHF certifications
• 2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU or Emergency Department experience
• Experience with BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, and drawing labs
• Must be comfortable without a vascular access team
• Experience in calling on own consults and conducting own codes
• Open-heart Day 2 or Day 3 experience with pacer wires is preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a critical care setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and report changes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care procedures.
• Ensure compliance with facility protocols and standards of care.

Compliance / Notes:

• Will start on Monday with a 2-day orientation followed by facility-specific training.
• Facility is nicotine-free.
• Client allows the cancellation of one shift per 2-week pay period at no cost to the client and no pay to the employee, with a minimum 2-hour notice.
