Step into a rewarding contract assignment supporting students as an Occupational Therapist for the full school year. This full-time position is based near Marysville, WA, where you'll play an essential role in helping students achieve academic and developmental goals through evidence-based OT interventions.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and case management
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt therapies for diverse student needs and abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students using standardized tools to identify OT needs impacting their participation in school activities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, focusing on fine motor, sensory, and functional skills
- Collaborate with educators to integrate OT strategies into classroom routines
- Participate in IEP meetings, provide assessment reports, and maintain accurate student records
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services in both individual and group settings
- Educate staff and families on OT recommendations to foster student independence
