SBU Engineering Manager

Salary: $142,500 - 242,600 per year Requirements:

• Proficiency with MS Office Suite is required.
• We require willingness to travel extensively, up to 50%, often on short notice.

• We partner closely with SBU leadership to shape strategy, capital planning, and operational priorities.
• We convert business needs into engineering roadmaps, capital plans, and resource strategies.
• We lead and contribute to strategic planning across the SBU, region, and enterprise, including growth, cost optimization, and network investments.
• We build strong cross-functional relationships with Operations, Maintenance, EH&S, Finance, Supply Chain, and other functions to drive alignment and delivery.
• We gather and apply feedback from leadership and peers to improve engineering value creation.
• We promote a global engineering mindset and leverage our worldwide footprint.
• We lead, coach, and develop the engineering organization to build a strong bench and succession pipeline.
• We establish clear expectations, performance goals, and development plans for team members.
• We foster a culture of empowerment, accountability, continuous improvement, safety, and collaboration.
• We oversee staffing, onboarding, training, performance management, and colleague engagement.
• We coach the team on project management, standards, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
• We ensure engineering execution delivers reliable equipment solutions, safety and regulatory compliance, and quality, cost, and schedule adherence.
• We oversee plant facilities, equipment, tooling, automation, machine standards, and related design, development, acquisition, installation, maintenance, and upgrade activities.
• We lead major SBU, regional, and network engineering projects as assigned.
• We maintain accountability for project execution, capital deployment, and engineering performance.
• We monitor engineering KPIs, project results, and capital spend, and we implement corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• We own SBU engineering budget execution, variance management, and forecasting in partnership with Finance.
• We support Maintenance Excellence and Lean Manufacturing initiatives across the SBU.
• We manage external engineering partners, suppliers, and contractors in support of SBU priorities.
• We ensure equipment safety standards are implemented and maintained with EH&S.
• We perform other duties as assigned.
