Job Summary:
\nThe APP is an independent health care provider who coordinates inpatient care through collaboration with the Physician for Critical Care patients The PA or APN provides care in accordance with the objectives policies and procedures of the practice and the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners Physician Assistant Nurse Practitioner Advisory Committee

\nEssential Functions:
\nProvides comprehensive critical care services to patients in the ICU and IMCU including assessment diagnosis and management of complex high acuity conditions
\nDemonstrates strong organizational skills communicates effectively and demonstrates effective time management
\nDemonstrates effectiveness in coordinating aspects of patient care within a critical care environment
\nDemonstrates the ability to compassionately interact with patients across different areas of care
\nParticipate in multidisciplinary rounds care planning and family discussions
\nPerforms appropriate interpretation of laboratory and diagnostic testing
\nPerform and or assist with invasive and noninvasive procedures in accordance with hospital privileges and scope of practice
\nThoroughly explains procedures to patients prior to testing
\nProvides appropriate patient teaching as necessary
\n\n
Job Requirements:
\nAPN or PA
\nAcute care certification preferred
\n1 to 2 years acute care hospital experience preferred
\nCurrent APN or PA certification
\nCurrent NJ state license CDS and DEA
\nCurrent BLS and ACLS required
\n\n
