Job Description

Job Summary:

Teledyne FLIR in Elkridge, MD designs and manufactures advanced robotic, surveillance, and security technologies. We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to inspect incoming machined, fabricated, and electronic components used in our products. This role supports production quality by performing inspections, reviewing documentation, identifying nonconforming material, and working with cross-functional teams in an ISO 9001-certified manufacturing environment.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Inspectincomingpartsandmaterialsinaccordancewithinspectionrequirements,engineeringdrawings,specifications,andqualitystandards.

• Performvisualanddimensionalinspectionsusingprecisionmeasuringtoolsincludingcalipers,micrometers,depthgauges,andotherinspectionequipment.

• VerifysupplierdocumentationandFirstArticleInspection(FAI)packageswhenrequired.

• Reviewandprocessnonconformingmaterial,documentfindings,andsupportdispositionactivitieswithProduction,Engineering,Purchasing,andQualityteams.

• Enterinspectionresultsandqualitydataintocompanysystemsandgeneratereportsasneeded.

• Readandinterpretmechanicaldrawingsandspecifications.

• HelpensurecompliancewithcompanyqualityproceduresandISO9001requirements.

• Communicateeffectivelywithinternalteamsandsupplierstoresolvequalityissues.

• Maintainaccurateinspectionrecordsanddocumentation.

• Performotherdutiesasassigned.

Required Job Qualifications:

• Highschooldiplomaorequivalent.

• 2+yearsofexperienceinmanufacturing,qualityinspection,machining,assembly,production,orarelatedtechnicalenvironment.

• Abilitytoreadandinterpretmechanicaldrawingsandspecifications.

• Experienceusinginspectionandmeasurementtoolssuchascalipers,micrometers,andgauges.

• Strongattentiontodetailandorganizationalskills.

• ProficiencywithMicrosoftOfficeapplications.

• Strongverbalandwrittencommunicationskills.

• Abilitytoliftupto50poundsandstandforextendedperiodsasneeded.

Strongly Preferred Job Qualifications:

• ExperiencewithGD&T(GeometricDimensioning&Tolerancing).

• FamiliaritywithFirstArticleInspection(FAI)documentation.

• Knowledgeofmachinedparts,metalfabricationprocesses,andfasteners.

• Familiaritywithweldingprocessesandweldinspectiontechniques.

• ExperienceworkinginanISO9001,AS9100,orsimilarquality-managedmanufacturingenvironment.

• ExperienceusingSAP,SharePoint,orsimilarbusinesssystems.

• ExperiencewithopticalmeasurementsystemssuchasKeyenceequipment.

Salary Range:

$48,400.00-$64,500.000
