Shift Manager

Job Description This position is for a Shift Manager at a McDonald’s franchisee independent from McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is the employer; McDonald’s USA does not handle employment matters. Responsibilities Managers lead shifts each week, ensuring customers receive fast, accurate, friendly service. A Shift Manager provides leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness for customers. Shift Managers perform tasks including planning each shift, monitoring performance, addressing team standards, monitoring safety, security, profitability, and communicating with the next Shift Manager to prepare for a great shift. They may also be responsible for meeting targets during their shifts and helping assigned departments achieve goals. Food safety Internal communication Inventory management Daily maintenance and cleanliness Managing crew Quality food production Exceptional customer service Safety and security Scheduling Training Qualifications Previous leadership experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
