Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 36 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Medefis Program - Genesis Healthcare System.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Minimum 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience. - Proven ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips. - No training is provided for Epic EMR; lack of Epic proficiency results in immediate termination.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Renal experience strongly preferred.

Required Credentials: - Competency test required on Day 1; failure results in immediate contract termination.

Unit Details: - Care for adult renal and medical-surgical patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, post-dialysis needs, and complex medical-surgical conditions. - High-acuity, high-turnover unit requiring continuous monitoring, frequent assessments, and cardiac telemetry monitoring.

Shift & Scheduling: - No on-call requirement. - Holidays as required. - 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend required

Floating Requirements: - Float as needed within scope to similar Med-Surg units, including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders.

7 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
