Document Management System Senior Developer – Information Technology Specialist II Job Code: JC-525229  Classification: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST II  Salary: $8,625.00 – $11,557.00 A Location: Sacramento County, hybrid (requires reporting to headquarters on assigned in‑office days).  Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. This role is part of the Employment Development Department’s Document Technology Services Section, within the Document Management System Development Group. The position provides senior software solution development and application support for the EDD’s Document Information Management Center. Responsibilities Develop and maintain the Document Management System, ensuring high quality and reliability. Lead technical design and architecture of new system features and enhancements. Collaborate with business and technical managers to identify requirements and deliver solutions. Provide application support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Document design decisions, coding standards, and best practices. Mentor junior developers and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team. Qualifications Senior-level professional experience in software development, with strong analytical skills. Proficiency in modern programming languages, frameworks, and database technologies relevant to document management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks with competing deadlines. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team. Experience with document management systems or related information systems is preferred. Benefits and Work Arrangement Hybrid work schedule with a hybrid arrangement subject to business needs. Travel expenses to and from the office are the employee’s responsibility.
