Lead AI Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Lead AI Engineer for a Contract with a client in Santa Clara, CA. The ideal candidate with experience building and deploying Agentic AI applications, multi-agent systems, and enterprise-grade AI solutions using modern LLM frameworks and cloud platforms .

Rate Range: $60/hour to $64/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Lead AI Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and deploy Agentic AI applications and multi-agent systems using LangGraph, LangChain, and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Build and optimize prompt engineering workflows across AI models such as GPT, Claude, and LLaMA to improve performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Develop REST APIs, WebSocket services, and event-driven pipelines to support scalable, real-time AI applications.
• Deploy and maintain AI solutions on enterprise cloud platforms while ensuring security, scalability, and adherence to best practices.
• Implement CI/CD processes using Jenkins, Git, and related tools to automate testing, deployment, and release management.
• Collaborate with platform, security, and product teams to integrate data sources, support AI operations, and deliver high-quality AI-driven business solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field, including experience delivering production AI solutions.
• Hands-on experience building Agentic AI applications using LangGraph, LangChain, Python, LLMs, and prompt engineering techniques.
• Experience developing and deploying AI applications on enterprise cloud platforms, with knowledge of REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and scalable AI system architectures.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $64.00 per hour
