Overview and Responsibilities Summary The Assistant Controller supports the financial operations of the organization by overseeing accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial data and supporting strategic decision-making in a dynamic home healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Oversee general ledger accounting, accounts payable, and payroll functions. Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and healthcare-specific financial regulations. Support audits, including preparation of schedules and coordination with external auditors. Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training and performance feedback. Collaborate with operational leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting and cost control. Participate in system upgrades, process improvements, and financial projects.
