Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for a patient group in Med Surg using the nursing process
- Collect pertinent data, analyze assessments, and communicate changes to the care team
- Develop and implement patient care plans; coordinate with interdisciplinary colleagues
- Administer medications and treatments per orders; promote patient safety and infection control
- Educate patients and families; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Delegate appropriately and supervise nursing staff as assigned

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification required
- PALS certification preferred or optional for the initial contract; must be attained if traveler extends
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Med Surg or acute care experience
- BSN preferred; ADN acceptable
- Ability to work night shifts and weekend rotation in a short-term acute care setting
