HR Business Partner

Position Overview A growing multi-location healthcare organization is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join its team in Riverhead, NY. This hands-on and strategic role will partner with leadership and employees to support employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, compliance, engagement, and organizational effectiveness. The ideal candidate is an approachable, solutions-oriented HR professional who can build strong relationships with employees and management while helping maintain a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace. Bilingual English/Spanish capability is strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Partner with leadership on employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, and organizational needs. Manage employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, conflict resolution, corrective action, and performance concerns. Coach managers on employee communication, documentation, performance improvement, and effective people-management practices. Support workforce planning, employee retention, engagement, and organizational initiatives. Ensure HR practices and policies align with federal, New York State, and applicable local employment requirements. Partner with recruiting and operational teams to support onboarding, employee transitions, and workforce effectiveness. Identify HR trends and opportunities for process improvement and help develop scalable, consistent people practices. Qualifications 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably as an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Generalist, HR Manager, or similar role. Strong experience with employee relations, workplace investigations, performance management, and manager coaching. Healthcare, medical practice, community health, or another regulated healthcare environment strongly preferred. Working knowledge of federal and New York employment laws and HR compliance practices. Strong communication, relationship-building, judgment, and problem-solving skills. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. SHRM or PHR certification is a plus. Compensation & Benefits Salary: $115,000-$140,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Full-time position based in Riverhead, NY.
