The Iowa Primary Care Association is actively recruiting a General Dentist to provide care at a vibrant community health center (FQHC) in Marshalltown, IA . What is a community health center (FQHC)? The largest source of comprehensive primary care for underserved communities and populations. With an integrated care model that includes medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services, patients can access comprehensive, coordinated services often under one roof. Role Details Beautiful space with 12 operatories, brand new in 2022. Multiple tenured dental staff, many bilingual in Spanish. It is a family atmosphere where everyone helps one another, and potlucks are plentiful. Hours: Monday – Friday; 8 AM – 5 PM; no evenings/weekends; after 6 months of employment, dentists are expected to take call in 2‑week increments, approximately 3x/year (after‑hours call, over the phone only). Sees on average 13 patients per day + hygiene checks. Provider team includes: 2 general dentists and 2 registered dental hygienists. DA:DDS ratio = 2.5:1. Operatories: 12. EHR: Epic Wisdom. Benefits Student Loan Repayment Programs: Eligible for $50,000 in student loan repayment in exchange for 2 years of service through state & federal programs. Competitive Salary: Your experience and skills determine your base pay. The hiring range for this position is typically $150,000 -- $170,000, though highly experienced candidates may earn up to $204,000 per year. Licensing and Professional Subscriptions: Reimbursement provided. Current registration with the Federal Drug Administration (DEA) and Iowa Board of Pharmacy Examiners (CSA). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers Certification recognized by the American Heart Association. Current Mandatory Reporter Training: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse recognized by the Iowa Department of Public Health. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in English/Spanish. Desire to pursue a long‑term career in community health. GPR or AEGD residency completion.
