Lifeguard and Camp Counselor July 25- Aug 1, 2026

Role Description Full time or Part time Lifeguard and/or Camp Counselor role for the period of July 25–August 1, 2026, located in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Lifeguard and Camp Counselor will supervise campers in and around the pool, maintain vigilant water safety, and enforce all swimming and camp rules. The role includes planning and leading age‑appropriate activities, games, and small‑group sessions. The team member will help with daily camp routines such as check‑in and check‑out, transitions between activities, and snack and lunch periods. Responsibilities also include monitoring camper behavior, supporting social‑emotional learning, communicating with camp leadership. Qualifications Current lifeguard certification (e.g., American Red Cross or equivalent), including CPR/AED and First Aid, valid through at least August 1, 2026. Strong water safety, surveillance, and emergency response skills, with the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure. Experience working with children and youth in camp, school, childcare, or recreational settings, demonstrating patience, empathy, and clear communication. Ability to work as part of a team. Reliable, punctual, and able to work the full time on site as a counselor/Lifeguard July 25–August 1, 2026 or Part Time 3-4 hours each day on site in Los Gatos Lifeguard only position.
