The tech represents and follows outlined company guidelines for general work practices and performs assigned duties in accordance with proper safe work practices. The Facilities Tech I will assist Facilities Tech II and III with the product flow and operational goals to effectively support the Fulfillment Operations.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Maintain facility and equipment for continuous operation and required repairs.Responsible for minor repairs, assisting in maintenance, janitorial duties, and general duties as assigned.Adhere to all safety/security procedures and applicable laws.Cleaning and other Preventative Maintenance tasks for equipment including conveyor systems.Repair of conveyor belts, motors, rollers, beds and guides.Assist with Facilities maintenance and repairs including plumbing, lighting, roofing, HVAC and other as needed or directed.Assists with maintaining inventory of company supplied tools.Must be willing and able to be certified on powered industrial equipment.Working at heights of 40ft or more will be required.Have a general knowledge of the operation of all equipment in the facility.Performs general facility maintenance such as light bulb replacement, office furniture relocation, plumbing, electrical repairs, etc.Work various shifts and/or hours as needed to support the facility's needs. Overtime/Weekends as needed or directed.Other duties as instructed by supervision/management.Required Skills and Competencies:Adept at analyzing and resolving mechanical and technical issuesExcellent hand and eye coordination skillsAbility to read, recognize, write, and follow applicable numbers and directives (verbal and written) in EnglishCommand of basic math skills to ensure accurate inventoryAbility to maintain a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends as necessaryCommand of safety procedures (including lock-out/tag-out)Frequent bending, lifting, walking, pushing, pulling of freight, standing for long periods of timeSometimes working in extreme temperaturesSafely utilize manual and electronic operated equipment to transport cartons or other items by means of pushing, pulling, lifting, or carryingExperience and Educational Requirements:High School Diploma or GED preferred.
