Move from a CNC mill setup to a manual lathe op without missing a beat?
Hold tight tolerances, read complex blueprints, and apply advanced GD&T with confidence?
Rig, move, and flip heavy parts safely using an overhead crane?
Diagnose machining issues quickly and adjust to protect quality and throughput?

About the Work

Our established heavy industrial shop supports mining, energy, wood products, marine, and steel production with precision fabrication, machining, and large‑scale repair. The parts are big, the tolerances are tight, and the impact is real—our work keeps critical infrastructure running.

You Will

Operate safely in an industrial environment; consistently use required PPE.
Set up and operate CNC vertical and horizontal mills and lathes.
Load and run CNC programs; verify accuracy and optimize machine efficiency.
Execute machining processes: turning, milling, drilling, reaming, boring, slotting, grinding, and tapping.
Read and interpret advanced blueprints; apply manufacturing process knowledge and GD&T.
Inspect parts and record results using scales, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, indicators, and related inspection tools.
Troubleshoot problems and make adjustments to sustain quality and productivity.
Rig, move, and flip heavy components using overhead cranes.
Monitor and maintain shop tooling to ensure capability and reliability.

You Have

Minimum 10 years of combined CNC and manual machining experience.
Advanced understanding of blueprints, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.
Advanced metrology knowledge and strong inspection technique.
Experience with safe rigging and overhead crane operations.
Positive attitude, dependable attendance, and commitment to safety and efficiency.

Work Conditions

Weekend and overtime availability as needed.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
