Job DescriptionJoin our team as a day shift, full-time, Medical Assistant or LPN, at INTEGRIS HEALTH Medical Group Southwest Outpatient Clinic, in Oklahoma City, OK.Take the first step toward growing your career by joining us.QualificationsJob Requirements for Medical Assistant:Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification/registration; OR 6 months of clinic MA experienceAND6 months of customer service experience preferredCPR or BLS certification within 90 days of employmentMust be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written)Job Requirements for Clinic Nurse:Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Oklahoma or current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (NCLEX) member state.BLS and/or ACLS as required by department.Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written)INTEGRIS Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All applicants will receive consideration regardless of membership in any protected status as defined by applicable state or federal law, including protected veteran or disability status.ResponsibilitiesThe Medical Assistant provides direct patient care by taking vitals, patient history, venipuncture, lab, x-ray, referrals, and patient phone messages as directed by the provider and/or clinical supervisor.The Medical Assistant responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Gathers and documents information about patient condition, which include lab values, pain levels, patient education needs, nutritional status and potential complicationsContributes to the assessment/re-assessment of patientsMonitors and documents patient statusParticipates in the development of the plan of care, including implementation and evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions which may include medication administration (exclusive of narcotics)Manages large call volume while maintaining excellent telephone etiquetteOrganizes workflow to meet patient needs in a timely mannerMay retrieve and transport medicationsReports to assigned clinic manager, supervisor or lead.The Clinic Nurse assumes responsibility for the delivery of patient care utilizing the nursing process, under the supervision of a physician. The clinic nurse provides direct patient care by taking vitals, patient history, venipuncture, lab, x-ray, referrals, and patient phone messages as directed by the provider and/or clinic supervisor.The Clinic Nurse responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of appropriate patient care interventionsMonitors for signs and systems related to abnormal lab values, and deviation from baseline assessmentsReports changes in patient status to the physician and initiate any new orders from the physician as directed.
