About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented accountant to join our finance team. This role owns core general ledger, month-end close, and reconciliation responsibilities while supporting financial reporting and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of GAAP, thrives on accuracy, and is comfortable working both independently and cross-functionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries; maintain the general ledger with accuracy and proper supporting documentation

• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and variance analysis

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts (cash, prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, etc.) and resolve discrepancies

• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting standards

• Identify and help implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

• Mentor junior accounting staff and review their work as needed

• Assist with tax filings and coordination with external tax preparers, as applicable

• Support integration of accounting technology within NetSuite and assist in integrating newly acquired offices/entities into existing accounting systems and processes following acquisitions

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Knowledge of GAAP and month-end/year-end close processes

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite

• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reconciliations)

• "Strong working knowledge of AI tools (Claude) is required. You should be comfortable integrating AI into your day-to-day work and quick to adopt new AI-driven tools as they emerge."

• Experience using AI solutions to drive efficiency and automation

• High attention to detail and strong analytical/problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines with accuracy under pressure, with evolving timelines
