About the Position

Job Title: Certified Surgical Technician Profession: Surgical Technician Specialty: Surgical Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 AM - 05:00 PM Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: NBSTSA Certification Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Experience with open heart procedures Description: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
