Medical Malpractice Litigation Attorney

CohenMalad, LLP, an Indianapolis- based law firm of 30+ lawyers, is seeking to add an experienced Medical Malpractice Attorney to its well-established and expanding medical malpractice group. Our attorneys are dedicated to representing individuals and families harmed by medical negligence and achieving meaningful results through strategic litigation and trial advocacy. This position offers the opportunity to handle complex medical malpractice cases from investigation through trial while working alongside an experienced team of litigators and medical experts. Responsibilities * Manage a caseload of complex medical malpractice matters from intake through investigation. * Conduct case investigations, including review of medical records and consultation with expert witnesses * Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery * Take and defend depositions of parties, treating physicians, and expert witnesses * Prepare cases for mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial * Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff on litigation strategy * Maintain strong client relationships and provide clear communication throughout the litigation process Some attributes of the ideal candidate include: * 5 years of Medical Malpractice Litigation, Personal Injury Litigation, or Mass Tort Litigation experience * Strong legal research and writing skills * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines * Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment * Sincere desire and commitment to advocate for plaintiffs The firm provides a supportive and flexible working environment, professional development, and benefits including: medical, dental, vision insurance, 401k, and paid parking.
