About the Role: We’re partnering on a confidential Controller search with a growing organization within the manufacturing industry seeking a hands-on accounting and finance leader to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and operational finance initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance strategic thinking with strong technical accounting and process improvement capabilities. What you’ll own: • Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes • Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management • Manage cost accounting, inventory controls, and operational finance analysis • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and internal controls enhancements • Partner cross-functionally with operations and executive leadership to support business strategy and profitability initiatives • Coordinate external audits, tax support, and compliance activities • Lead and mentor a lean accounting team while helping scale processes and reporting capabilities What we’re looking for: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred • 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with leadership responsibility • Manufacturing, distribution, or industrial industry experience strongly preferred • Strong background in financial reporting, close management, and cost accounting • Experience working in multi-entity or multi-location environments • Proven ability to improve processes, strengthen controls, and drive operational efficiencies • Advanced Excel and ERP systems experience Why consider it: • High-impact role with visibility to executive leadership • Opportunity to influence processes and operational strategy • Collaborative, team-oriented culture • Stable organization with long-term growth potential • Competitive compensation package with bonus opportunity and flexible work environment Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
