Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Trauma ICU position at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma Center in Pomona Valley, CA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Trauma ICU unit within a 412-bed Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• Acute care hospital setting
• Charting is performed in Cerner
• Weekend shifts are required
• Floating is required based on facility need; ICU float RNs may be floated to any ICU or telemetry unit
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling is not available
• Free parking on-site

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current certifications required: ACLS and BLS; NIHSS also required; TNCC preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Proficiency with ventilated patient care required
• Skills required include continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, and ICP monitoring
• Respiratory/thoracic nursing skills required
• Level II Trauma experience preferred; Level I Trauma experience also preferred
• Two professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• DOB required for consideration
• COVID vaccination status required for consideration

• Candidates who were previously employed at this facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• RTO of up to 2 days and 1 holiday off will be considered; all time-off requests must be submitted upfront
• Three missed shifts may result in cancellation of the assignment
• Orientation includes modules averaging 3–6 hours depending on specialty, completed during orientation
• Strict dress code is enforced: no facial hair, no acrylic nails, no unnatural hair colors, all tattoos must be covered, no visible body piercings other than earrings, no facial or nose rings, and earrings must not extend beyond the earlobe or be hoop style
• No specific scrub color required, but camouflage and character patterns are not permitted
