New Mexico State University Global Campus seeks a New Student Experience Specialist to engage prospective students by conducting outreach campaigns, responding to inquiries, scheduling appointments with Admissions Representatives, and maintaining accurate records in Slate to support the enrollment process and provide an exceptional student experience. Target Hourly/Salary Rate: $16.83 Appointment Full-time Equivalency: 1.0 FLSA Status :Non-Exempt Bargaining Unit Announcement: This is a bargaining unit position with American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME). Contingent Upon Funding: Not Applicable Standard Work Schedule: Shift: Other Shift If Not a Standard Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 10am MT to 7pm MT Job Duties and Responsibilities: Provide daily updates in Slate to record interactions with student leads. Proactively respond to prospective student inquiries and schedule appointments for admission representatives following established communication plan guidelines and protocol. Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Education and Experience: High School diploma + 1 years of relevant experience, or higher degree. Equivalent Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: Technical Connectivity Requirements: For roles that use call systems or provide synchronous support, employees must maintain a stable, low-latency internet connection capable of supporting continuous voice communications without interruption. Wired Ethernet is strongly preferred due to its reliability and call quality. Equivalent wired or business-grade connections may be acceptable if they meet all performance and stability requirements. These requirements are subject to reasonable accommodation in accordance with applicable law. Consumer Wi-Fi–only connections (without a hardwired device connection) are not accepted. Special Certification/Licensure: Working Conditions and Physical Effort Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
