Essential Tasks / Duties (this list is not all-inclusive; other tasks may be assigned as required by management):

To liaise with Global Purchasing Manager to determine quarterly raw material requirements are met in full and in the most cost-effective manner.

To manage imports of raw materials from international suppliers and liaise with third-party providers for duty/customs clearance, transportation, and storage of imported goods.

In coordination with Sales staff and the Production Coordinator ensure that purchases of RSPO stearic acid purchases meet sales requirements and that RSPO certification is maintained.

To provide support for Sales staff as pertains to quarterly pricing and raw material costs.

In coordination with the Production Coordinator ensure that raw material inventories are accurate.

In coordination with Production ensure the purchase and inventories of production packaging and consumables.

To support office and production staff as needed to ensure the smooth operations of the company.

Qualifications / experience:

Qualifications / Education

College degree preferred.

Experience.

Min. 2 years in a procurement position is required, preferably in a chemical / industrial company.

A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is essential, and experience of using other business management software is preferred.

Some experience with basic accounting / book-keeping processes is preferred.

Must have a flexible, practical, friendly approach, with a good telephone manner. Must be honest, thorough and place a high emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
