Position: 2nd Shift Warehouse Associate

Location: Local Grocery Distribution Center in Crossville, TN

Compensation:


Starting pay is $14 per hour.

Job Description:

As a 2nd Shift Warehouse Associate at our local Grocery Distribution Center, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the efficient operation of our warehouse. Your core responsibilities will encompass receiving, sorting, storing, and preparing merchandise for shipment, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, quality, and teamwork. By contributing to a positive work environment, you will help ensure the overall success of our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Unload and Receive Merchandise: Skillfully unload merchandise from incoming shipments, meticulously ensuring accuracy and adhering to quality control standards.
2. Sort and Organize Products: Methodically categorize and organize products, utilizing appropriate locations within the warehouse for efficient storage and accessibility.
3. Pick and Pack Orders: Diligently prepare orders for shipment by accurately selecting and packing items, guaranteeing that customers receive the correct merchandise in pristine condition.
4. Maintain Warehouse Integrity: Uphold the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, promoting an environment that fosters efficiency and safety.
5. Collaborate for Productivity: Work closely with team members to achieve collective productivity goals, contributing to the seamless flow of warehouse operations.
6. Compliance and Safety: Abide by company policies and procedures, adhering to established inventory management practices and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Previous Warehouse Experience: Prior experience in a warehouse or similar setting is essential, demonstrating your familiarity with fundamental warehouse operations.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to handle heavy lifting, with the capability to lift and carry objects weighing 40-60 pounds. Proficiency in operating forklifts is advantageous.
• Attention to Detail: Showcase meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that tasks are carried out with precision and accuracy.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.

Physical Requirements:


You must be capable of standing, bending, and lifting regularly throughout your shift, with the ability to handle heavy objects within the specified weight range.


Equipment Used:


You will utilize both power and non-power equipment, once you have received proper certification.
