System Administrator

Overview Required TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION YOU MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE TS/SCI W/ FULL SCOPE POLYGRAPH SECURITY CLEARANCE (U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED) Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Responsibilities Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem resolution. Support the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Support the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process. Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems and install/load operating system software; troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components; implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Provide daily activities for configuration and operation of IT systems and assist users in accessing and using IT systems. Provide in-depth troubleshooting experience for IT systems and provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets. Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning. Possess working knowledge of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration. Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware. Qualifications Fifteen (15) years experience as a System Administrator (SA) in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Compensation and Benefits Compensation: We are committed to providing fair and competitive compensation. The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $250,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation offered across the locations where we hire. The exact salary will be determined based on the candidate's work location, specific role, skill set, and level of expertise.
