2026-2027 Breast Imaging and Intervention Clinical Fellowship Position

The Breast Imaging and Intervention Clinical Fellowship is a one-year Non-Standard Training Program at UT Health San Antonio. The fellowship’s purpose is to train board-certified or board-eligible radiologists to be qualified to interpret breast imaging using the latest technologies and to master the complexities of breast imaging and intervention. Instruction is led by board-certified and fellowship-trained radiologists with several years of expertise in their field. Responsibilities Advanced training in the interpretation of breast imaging studies, including detection, diagnosis, and management of benign and malignant breast pathologies. Performance of image-guided procedures specific to the breast and related structures: breast ultrasound, guided core biopsies, fine-needle aspiration, and cyst aspiration. Patient communication of breast imaging and procedure outcomes, including positive and negative results and coordination with other practitioners. Compliance with Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requirements and the BI-RADS system of breast disease classification. Integration with surgical, medical, and radiation oncology specialists as part of the multidisciplinary care of breast patients.
