Plaintiff's personal injury litigation law firm is seeking an experienced motivated legal secretary.
General:
Candidate must have good communication skills to correspond with attorneys, clients, medical providers and other professionals. The ability to use a daily diary and follow up on tasks is important. Knowledge and familiarity with MS Outlook and calendar system; Lexis-Nexis e-filing and handling both pre-litigation and litigation fies is preferred. Assisting with general day-to-day office duties, handling of files in pre-litigation . Preparing demands, ordering medical records, calculating bills, ordering liens, PIP sheets. Must be organized and excel in being able to follow-up on medical records requests. Answering phones, copying, faxing, scanning documents; preparing correspondence to clients, doctors and attorneys; recording statute dates; closing files; obtaining records and documents from courts through online docketing systems and other governments agencies.
Spanish speaker is a plus but not required.
Skills:
Must be computer proficient and a proficient typist able to use MS Word and Outlook for emailing/calendar; Needles, Lexis Nexis Filing
