We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join our team and provide comprehensive support to attorneys. The ideal candidate will assist in legal research, document preparation, electronic filings, data entry, and client record management.
Responsibilities
- Assist with drafting and reviewing legal documents
- Investigate facts related to immigration petitions and applications
- Record and store client information accurately
- Provide direct support to attorneys for case management
- Maintain clear communication with clients and team members
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a legal assistant or legal professional
- Familiarity with legal fillings and procedures
- Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong adherence to deadlines
- Bilingual in Spanish, speaking, reading, writing and communicating
- 2+ years of experience in legal support roles
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in legal research and document preparation
- Experience with case management software
- Strong time management and critical thinking skills
