NCS does not sponsor employment visas, including H-1B, O-1, or TN visas, for this position.As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will…Analyze production equipment downtime, cycle time, and process data across NCS manufacturing facilities to identify trends, bottlenecks, and root causesDesign, build, and maintain KPI dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) that give operations and engineering leadership visibility into throughput, quality, safety, and cost performanceLead critical company initiatives that have high visibility with the executive team and sponsors. Provide direction and structured accountability to resource teams assigned to these mid-to-long projects.Lead or facilitate value stream mapping (VSM) events to identify waste and prioritize improvement opportunities across the value streamInspect equipment and processes being designed and built utilizing the appropriate tools to ensure items meet Design and Engineering specificationsBe involved with the complete design and execution of processes, the fixtures, templates, locators, etc. used in the manufacturing and operations processesConstruction and maintenance of fixtures, templates, locators and miscellaneous equipment used in the manufacturing processPlay an active role in the culture of continuous improvementReview and analyze manufacturing functions, submitting suggestions to improve efficiency, quality, safety and costProvide programming assistance on various manufacturing machines and may train employees to perform the sameReview cost savings or any type of other suggestion submitted by employees pertaining to the manufacturing process. Participates in investigating and responding to the sameAct as a liaison between design, engineering and manufacturing. Coordinating manufacturing abilities with engineering specifications and requests, and product design requirementsWork with manufacturing management to provide practical training for the manufacturing processPlay an active role on in sourcing projects that may include documenting or reverse engineering items to be made in houseComply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policiesManagement retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any timeWhat you need…Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial engineering or industrial technologyMinimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing settingExperience with scoping, creating ROIs, and on-boarding new capital equipment.Ability to travel regularly, up to 30 - 50% at times depending on the location of projectsAbility to read and understand piece part and welding blue prints as designed by the Engineering DepartmentDemonstrated ability to work independently and/or as part as a cross functional teamStrong mathematical abilitiesSolid verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in ACAD or SolidworksRequired to be familiar with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPointExperience with metal fabrication, bending, machining, and/or welding a plus.Experience with both discrete and process-based manufacturing environments a plusPLC programming and industrial automation experience a plusExperience with IoT product implementation and or use a plusExperience with data automation and analytical tools a plusPhysical requirementsMust stoop, bend, reach, walk; perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp, push, pull or do fine manipulationsRequired to stand for prolonged periodsIntermittently lift light to medium weight up to 50 lbs.Grow your career supported by an energized and passionate team, professional development, training, flexibility and opportunities for advancement.
