New York , New York Permanent Jan 26, 2026 The School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders that impact students' educational performance. The SLP works collaboratively with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to support communication skills essential for academic success and social participation. Key Responsibilities Conduct speech and language evaluations to determine student eligibility for services Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP or 504 goals Provide direct speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings Address articulation, expressive and receptive language, fluency, voice, social communication, and pragmatics Support students using AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) systems when appropriate Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and families Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility conferences, and multidisciplinary team meetings Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance with district, state, and federal regulations Provide classroom-based strategies and consultative services to support communication across settings Educate staff and families on techniques to support language development and communication skills Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program NY Headquarters 1430 Broadway, 13th Floor New York, New York 10018 #J-18808-Ljbffr
