Job Description
CT Technologist - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Friday - Sunday, 7 PM - 7:30 AM EST with on-call requirements and holidays as per unit needs.

Job Description

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing CT technology. This role involves ensuring patient safety, comfort, and proper documentation throughout the imaging process.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide accurate diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to alleviate anxiety.
• Insert IVs when necessary and position patients safely, utilizing proper patient handling techniques.
• Maintain accurate patient records in EPIC, ensuring images are correctly documented and sent to the PACS system.
• Ensure a clean and safe scanning environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current NYS CT Tecnologist license with injection therapy certification required.
• Completion of formal training from an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Active certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Two years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience with Siemens and Philips equipment is preferred.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
