Registered Nurse – Skilled Nursing – Days – 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, 3x12 – Relocation Candidates Welcome Location: Lewiston, ME Duration: 13 Weeks Specialty: Skilled Nursing Shift Time: Days – 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, 3x12 Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week Start: 10/5/2026 We are seeking an experienced Skilled Nursing Registered Nurse (RN) to join a skilled nursing facility in Lewiston, ME and provide high-quality, compassionate care to geriatric and post-acute patients in a skilled nursing setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a diverse patient population with complex medical needs, including wound care, medication management, and rehabilitation support. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and families during critical transitions in care. Key Responsibilities • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for skilled nursing and long-term care residents • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols • Perform and document skilled nursing procedures including wound care, catheter care, and IV therapy • Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate findings promptly to the interdisciplinary care team • Collaborate with physical, occupational, and speech therapists to support resident rehabilitation goals • Educate residents and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and disease management strategies • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record in compliance with regulatory standards ✅ Requirements • Active ME or Compact RN license • BLS/BCLS certification • 2+ years of Skilled Nursing experience • Familiarity with MDS documentation and Medicare/Medicaid skilled nursing regulations preferred • Strong understanding of geriatric care principles, fall prevention protocols, and infection control standards Pay Pay range: $2,052 to $2,141 per week. Travel Geriatrics/SNF RN package: up to $2,141/week (36 hours) = $36/hour taxable + up to $845/week in travel reimbursements if eligible under IRS tax-home and expense rules. Local package: $57/hour fully taxable ($2,052/week for 36 hours). Overtime paid in accordance with applicable wage-and-hour laws and the assignment agreement. Actual compensation varies based on hours worked, assignment terms and travel reimbursement eligibility.
