Senior Benefits Consultant

Seeking a highly skilled Senior Benefits Consultant for a remote contract position, responsible for overseeing the strategic assessment, compliance, and administration of retiree Health and Welfare plans, including conducting needs assessments and managing plan amendments. Key responsibilities Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and manage plan restatements and amendments for retiree Health and Welfare plans Analyze large datasets for regulatory filings and ensure compliance with HR policies, collective bargaining agreements, and federal/state laws Lead special projects related to regulatory changes and adapt to evolving departmental objectives Required qualifications Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources with a focus on benefits administration Deep knowledge of ERISA compliance and regulatory reporting specific to Retiree Health and Welfare benefits Proven experience interpreting collective bargaining agreements and managing benefits for represented employee groups Advanced proficiency in HRIS platforms, preferably Oracle HCM, and expert-level skills in Microsoft Office Suite Demonstrated ability to synthesize and analyze large, complex datasets
