Key Responsibilities Instructional: Design and deliver three (3) graduate nutrition classes online asynchronous each semester or undergraduate synchronous courses as needed; promptly respond to student questions; academic advising; mentoring students; supervising thesis or internship projects; contributing to new curricula and training opportunities; serve on department committees; recruit; deliver classroom instruction including lectures, seminars, tutorials, assess coursework, and hold office hours. Administrative: Retain and support accreditation and annual report initiatives; collect and analyze assessment data for accreditation and continuing education in nutrition and dietetics. Public Service: Support department and university outreach efforts in the community and on campus; contribute to departmental, college, and university committees; participate in professional organizations; engage in community outreach related to nutrition and health. Qualifications Doctorate (completed by date of appointment) in Nutrition or a related field from an accredited university. Strong credentials as a Registered Dietitian and/or extensive work experience in the field of dietetics. Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate or graduate courses in Nutrition, including strong technology skills related to delivery of distance education courses. Documented record of scholarly achievement; potential for grantsmanship and publication. Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively. Experience in online teaching is preferred. Experience as a Registered Dietitian or in the field of nutrition and dietetics. Special Instructions to Applicants Criminal background will be required from the selected candidate.
