The Job As a Group Product Manager - Construction Hand Tools, you’ll be part of our DEWALT team. The Group Product Manager-Construction Hand Tools DEWALT will manage the short- and long-term global P&L of the DEWALT construction hand tools, increase the working capital turns of the portfolio, expand the business with new products and lead cross-functional teams through the New Product Development Process. They partner with cross-functional teams to ensure that all products meet customer and business needs and align back to the overall brand and category strategy. Product Management collaborates with designers, engineers, marketing and sales teams to design and build products that service the needs of our end user, align to relevant CTQ’s and create a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Additionally, they conduct market research and communicate with external stakeholders to get feedback and relay important information. Product Management also manages resource planning and works with operations and engineering to drive Design to Value (DTV), productivity and cost reduction. In this role, you will be responsible for developing product and market strategies to drive growth and improved profitability across the portfolio that includes construction hand tools (ex. Hammers, Measuring, Layout, Cutting). Develops category’s product strategies to meet or exceed the company’s overall strategy and goals. Identifies the necessary projects to execute the strategy for product lines within their responsibility. Responsible for partnering with the international teams to identify high impact opportunities to drive growth globally. Understand market trends to ensure product strategy aligns with the needs of the customer; Develop and execute product roadmap. Develop and deliver operating plan for assigned portfolio, Track, forecast, and present new product financial performance monthly. Lead development of product roadmaps based on product strategies, NPD program financials, and channel strategies. Work with Engineering and Supply Chain (Operations) to ensure the roadmap can be executed based on resources and capacity. Conduct regular VOC visits to have a deep understanding of target market segments, end user needs, and pain points for the product portfolio. Responsible for NPD programs from ideation to commercialization. Team leader to ensure delivery of winning new products through end-user focused market requirements, aligned business case with channel/region teams, design trade-off management, succinct end user messaging, and price positioning for optimal profitability. Validation of Product CTQs, Testing & Claims with End Users Responsible to effectively communicating to external audiences the product differentiation, product positioning, and value proposition to win or retain business. Identify and execute plans to deliver productivity in the category to ensure we remain competitive in the marketplace without sacrificing customer valued product features. Ensures processes are followed to successfully develop new products and deliver on time to commitment dates. Develops brand and product positioning strategy by product line, including target financial profitability objectives. Manages, develops, and mentors a team of Product Managers to achieve the business goals. You also have: BS or BA in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field . MBA plus. 7+ years of Product Management experience. Preferred in consumer products. 3+ years of management experience Experience working directly with retailers or other large customers Experience working in a matrixed reporting structure and/or a global company. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments and projects simultaneously Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to lead cross-functional teams Strong project management skills Domestic/International travel required (15%) This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship (H1B, OPT/CPT, TN etc). Salary The Salary range for this position is $95,600.00 - $153,900.00 This is the lowest to highest annual full-time salary range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The salary offered within the range may vary depending on multiple factors including job level, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and in compliance with local wage requirements. Please note that salary is only one component of total rewards at Stanley Black & Decker. The salary range listed in this job posting reflects the range for the primary location specified.
