Outside Sales Representative - Waterworks

Job Description Ferguson, a Fortune 500 company, is seeking an Outside Sales Representative for its Waterworks division. This field‑based sales role will support customers in the Long Island area. Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and an assigned customer base. Coordinate with branch associates to ensure satisfaction with products and services from order to delivery. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the current customer base by working with management to develop sales strategies and new account targeting. Perform product quotation and problem resolution. Analyze competition in territory, devise sales strategy, and communicate strategy to management. Continually improve sales skills and product knowledge to promote a professional image in the field. Document all sales activity in Salesforce to evaluate the new business pipeline and measure sales closure results. Qualifications 2+ years of industry‑related sales experience preferred. Strong technical background and experience in water and/or wastewater industry preferred. Results‑oriented, self‑motivated, able to complete tasks in a timely manner. Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills. Problem‑solving, leadership and listening skills. General digital literacy. Ability to multi‑task and learn quickly.
