Social Media Marketing Specialist

About the Role We’re looking for a creative, organized, and results-driven Social Media Marketing Specialist to own our social media presence from start to finish. This role is responsible for planning, creating, and publishing content that not only builds our brand—but also drives traffic and sales to our eCommerce platform. This is a hands-on role for someone who can think strategically and execute—bringing ideas to life through video, storytelling, and performance-driven content. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a social media strategy aligned with business goals Conduct ongoing industry, competitor, and social media research to identify trends, key players, content opportunities, and platform-specific growth tactics Continuously optimize content to improve reach, engagement, and conversion Create content designed to drive traffic and revenue to our online store Support product launches, promotions, and campaigns through social media Collaborate on messaging, offers, and calls-to-action that convert Track and improve performance tied to clicks, conversions, and revenue Content Planning & Creation Create content that connects with our audience—bringing our brand to life in a way that feels human, relatable, and authentic, while still driving engagement and sales Build and manage a content calendar Plan campaigns, product highlights, and educational/promotional content Film and capture content (video + photo) Edit videos (Reels, TikToks, Shorts, etc.) and design supporting graphics Write compelling captions with clear calls-to-action Publishing & Platform Management Post and schedule content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn) Ensure consistency in brand voice, quality, and timing Community Management & Engagement Monitor and respond to DMs, comments, and messages in a timely manner Engage with followers by liking, replying, and fostering conversations Repost user-generated content and tagged posts Proactively engage with customers, partners, and relevant industry accounts Help build an active, loyal online community around the brand Paid Social Support Assist with or manage paid social campaigns (Meta, TikTok, etc.) Develop and test ad creatives focused on performance and conversions Analytics & Optimization Track performance and provide regular reporting Use insights to improve both content performance and sales impact Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field preferred 1–3+ years of experience in social media management and content creation Strong understanding of major social platforms, current trends, and social media best practices Portfolio or examples of social media content, short-form video, or other creative work required Proven ability to create content that drives both engagement and conversions Experience filming content (iPhone or camera-based production) Strong video editing skills (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, Instagram Edits, etc.) Strong copywriting and storytelling skills Comfortable appearing on camera and directing others in content when needed Familiarity with eCommerce marketing and performance metrics (CTR, conversion rate, ROAS) Experience with paid social (Meta Ads, TikTok Ads) preferred Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple projects Office Schedule: This is an in-office role based out of our Sarasota, FL location, with an initial expectation of four days per week in the office. Once fully trained and established in the role, there may be an opportunity to transition to three days per week in the office based on performance and business needs. Travel: Approximately 20% travel is expected to capture content in the field, including visits with dealers and customers throughout Florida, travel to other Accent Distributing locations, and attendance at trade shows, trainings, and industry events. Candidates should be comfortable traveling both locally and by air as needed and working outside of the traditional office environment to capture authentic, real-world content. What Success Looks Like Consistent, high-quality content across all platforms Growth in followers, engagement, and brand awareness Increased traffic and revenue driven from social media An active, engaged online community Clear understanding of what content performs—and why Compensation Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000 Quarterly Performance Bonus Opportunity: Once fully trained and independently running the social media program, eligible for quarterly bonuses based on performance and established KPIs.
